CHRIS HANNAN

Chris Hannan is one of the UK's leading playwrights. His plays SHINIG SOULS, THE EVIL DOERS, THE BABY and ELIZABETH GORDON QUINN are all published by Nick Hern Books. In development at the moment are HALF MAN HALF PERFECT, a feature film fir Makar Films and KILLER ROMANCE, a comedy/thriller feature film, also for Makar Films.
 
 
TELEVISION
 DR FINLAY STV (Mercury Series III) produced by Bernard Krichefski, broadcast May 1996.
   
OLD MORTALITY BBC Scotland - commissioned to write a treatment for a 6 part adaptation of this Walter Scott classic.
   
 THE TEAM Co-originator of and lead writer on this long running series about the dramas of a Mountain Rescue Team for the BBC
   
 PRIME SUSPECT V  Granada TV - was commisioned to write the first draft of this series which was never broadcast.
   
 THEATRE:  
THE THREE MUSKETEERS  New adaptation of the Dumas novel. As yet unproduced.
SHINING SOULS Presented at the Traverse Theatre during the 1996 Edinburgh Festival. New productions were presented at the Old Vic in 1997 and at The Tron in 2003. Winner of the Scotland on Sunday critics Award and nominated for the Lloyds Bank Playwright of the Year award.

THE PRETENDERS  An adaptation of Ibsen first performed at the Barbican in 1991
   
THE EVILDOERS  First produced by the Bush Theatre, London in 1990. Winner of the 1990 Time Out Award; the Plays and Players Most Promising Playwright Award and the Charrington London Fringe Best Play Award.
   
THE BABY First performed at the tron Theatre, Glasgow in 1990
   
THE ORPHAN'S COMEDY First performed at the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh in 1986
