Claire Rammelkamp is a playwright, screenwriter, and performer from Bristol. She was a member of the 2019 BBC Comedy Writersroom programme. Her play A WOMB OF ONE'S OWN was the recipient of The Charlie Hartil fund at The Pleasance, and was a finalist of the inaugural Popcorn award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The play was optioned by Popcorn/Lionsgate and is being developed for screen with Anna Maxwell Martin, and her TV script MY MUM'S A MONSTER has Maxwell Martin attached to star.

 

She had a residency at the The Space Theatre in London during which she wrote a series of three feminist comedy plays, FFS! (A FEMINIST FABLE SERIES) to be performed in the venue, one of which was adapted for BBC Radio by Calling the Shots. She won a commission from the Women's Centenary Fund to write a short play, STILLETNO!, which she produced alongside other women's writing to celebrate the centenary of women's suffrage.

 

She performed her play THE NECROMANCER at Bristol's Wardrobe Theatre in 2025, and it is currently being developed with Exeter Northcott for performance at their Elevate Festival.  Her TV script COVEN won a treatment commission from UKTV as part of the Comedy 50:50 competition. She is a regular writer for HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU and THE NEWS QUIZ. Her comedy shorts regularly receive millions of views online.
