Liz Duffy Adams

Liz Duffy Adams is a playwright whose BORN WITH TEETH received a 2021 Edgerton Foundation New Play Award and premiered at the Alley Theater in 2022, a production that won Houston Press Awards’ Best Play/Production, and that moved to the Guthrie Theatre in 2023. Her Neo-Restoration comedy OR, premiered Off Broadway at WP Theater and has been produced more than 80 times since, including at Magic Theater in San Francisco, Seattle Rep, and Roundhouse Theatre in DC. Other plays include DOG ACT (Will Glickman Award for Best New Play, over 30 productions), WITCH HUNT OR, A DISCOURSE ON THE WONDERS OF THE INVISIBLE WORLD (Contemporary American Theater Festival), and THE SALONNIÈRES (Greater Boston Theater Company), among others.

Adams has received a seven-year New Dramatists residency, a Women of Achievement Award, Lillian Hellman Award, New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship, and Massachusetts Cultural Council Fellowship. Her Artistic Stamp virtual play in letters, WILD THYME, was nominated for a 2021 Drama League Award for Outstanding Interactive or Socially-Distanced Theater.
