
Stephanie Dale
Stephanie Dale is a Midlands-based playwright who writes for stage, radio and large-scale theatre. She is currently working on SPINNING THE MOON for Dorchester Community Plays Association.
Recent plays includes: PASSION (AsOne Theatre), GIANT’S ON THE HILL (Tour), THE LOST BOY (Theatre in the Quarter), LIMBUS (Moving Stories at the National Theatre), A WORLD BEYOND MAN (Tour, Edinburgh Fringe), ALICE (Theatre in the Quarter), FOR THE PAST 30 YEARS (Birmingham Rep), CHESTER MYSTERY PLAYS (Chester Cathedral), MOONFLEET (BOVTS, Tour), and THE WITCHES PROMISE (Birmingham Rep at Weoley Castle Ruins).
For BBC Radio 4, Stephanie’s work includes: BELIEVE ME (nominated for the Tinniswood Award 2012), WRITTEN IN MIST, WHAT IS MISSING FROM YOUR LIFE?, and THE WIFE, FIRST BITE OF THE AIR.
Stephanie is a founder member of Centric, a Midlands based collective, who tell regional stories nationally. She is also a visiting tutor at Birmingham City University, where she teaches Playwriting and Project Plannig, and surpervises the Applied (Community and Education) placements. Previously, she was a supervisor on the MPhil in Playwriting at the University of Birmingham, and taught Applied Drama at Loughborough University.
