Jay Luxembourg

Jay Luxembourg is a graduate from Cambridge and of the MA in Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia. She is a member of The Factory and her writing forms part of its production of THE ODYSSEY opening in Oxford in March 2012 (dir. Tim Carroll, co production with Creation Theatre). Currently, she is one of the writers in development at the Finborough Theatre.

Jay's plays include THE BALLAD OF THE COPPER REVOLUTION (Nabokov, Old Vic Tunnels), DEMOLITION (AFTER BORIS VIAN) (The Factory at the Victoria & Albert Museum), BACKDOOR SNAP (Theatre503), L'HOMASSE (Hampstead Theatre Start Night), ELLIS ISLAND (Theatre 503) and INSANE JANE (Soho Theatre Studio/Pleasance Courtyard, Edinburgh).

Jay's short film PHIL'S JOB won the Time Out DVious Shorts Award and was screened at Cannes, Melbourne & Raindance festivals. Her past awards include the International Student Playscript competition.

Current projects include a new play called HADRIAN'S WALL; an adaptation of the Julia Bell novel DIRTY WORK for Rania Jumaily; and a screenplay called THE CHRISTOPHER COMPLEX. Furthermore, Jay is taking part in Headlong's Decade Project and is attending their workshop weekend in April.
