David is a writer and producer working across a range of different media - indeed he's one of Europe's leading "cross-media" writers, applying old fashioned storytelling skills to new digital art forms.
His cross-media career began in 2005 when he became the in-house writer for PERPLEX CITY, a murder mystery treasure hunt with a £100,000 prize, unfolding its trail of clues over two years and using almost every medium imaginable, from newspapers to skywriting to Morse code flashed to players on the London Eye.
He's also produced much of the FROZEN INDIGO ANGEL adventure that saw PERPLEX CITY join forces with BBC Radio 1. The game was nominated for a Radio Academy Award for Innovation in 2007.
Since then he has worked as a producer and writer at nDreams, creating a multilingual digital adventure called XI based in Sony's new virtual world, PlayStation Home.
A graduate of the Royal Court Young Writers Programme, David's work for the stage includes FLATPACK (Start Night, Hampstead Theatre), MOTHER'S RUIN (Rehearsed reading at Royal Court Young Writers Festival), DRINKING TO REMEMBER (Rosemary Branch Theatre, Islington) and THINKING ALOUD (ICA) a site-specific work where the audience could hear the characters' thoughts through radio headphones.
For radio, David has written THE PARSON (BBC 7), VOICES THROUGH THE WALL and OLIVIA'S LINE, both for Radio 4. He was also the lead writer on an ambitious Radio 4 Drama called POSTCARDS FROM A CATACLYSM with contributors including comedian Josie Long, playwright Tim Crouch and poet Rommi Smith.
David's film work includes THE ROSE (Winner of a Fuji Film Scholarship) and PORTOBELLO (LWT, Winner of the JVC Sharp Shooters Competitions & Whose London?).
His current project, THE SEED, which has been commissioned and produced by Goat and Monkey combines a treasure hunt, online game and live performances and will take place i Summer 2012. For more information, please seewww.goatandmonkey.co.uk
